Joseph Daniel Allen “was borned Dec. 13,1851. Died July 21, 1877.”  And a photo of his wife Easley Underwood “who was borned Nov. 11, 1858. Died Dec. 15, 1944. They were married Oct. 10, 1872”   

NOTE: Research shows that Joseph Daniel Allen was born on December 13, 1851, in Taylor, Kentucky, to David and Permilia Allen. He married Ursula Alley "Ersley" Underwood on October 9, 1872, in Larue, Kentucky.  He died as a young father on July 27, 1877, in Marion, Kentucky, at the age of 25, and was buried in Hodgenville, Kentucky.                                   

Ursula Alley "Ersley" Underwood was born on October 2, 1856, in Taylor, Kentucky, to Green and Mary Underwood. She was married three times and had four sons and two daughters. She died in Wyanet, Illinois, at the age of 88, and was buried in Hodgenville, Kentucky.
